An author, often known as a writer or a poet, is the creator or originator of any written work. These books can be of any genre such as comedy, adventurous, picturesque books, classics and even gothic books. These can also represent the anthology of written poems, or even the written plays (both living room theatrical plays and stage plays). An author, in a broader sense, is "the individual who created or gave life to everything," and his or her authorship decides accountability for what was made. To be a good author, an individual must have excellent writing and grammatical abilities, as well as imagination and self-motivation.

Finally, a top-tier author should have excellent time management skills, a thorough understanding of story aspects, and keen editing abilities. Reports, memorandums, blog posts, short tales, and novels are all written by writers. It is quite an interesting career wherein writers can work alone and with an organization as well. Being a famous author needs you to have the skills of can communicate effectively through words that could engage the reader. You should have outstanding writing and grammatical skills, creativity, and strong self-motivation. In order to create life-size characters, make your story come alive, and explain people and events vibrantly, you need to have the power of observation. It takes vulnerability to put your words out there, and resilience to keep at it when the going gets tough. To become an author, you’ll need to conquer some significant mental or writer blocks, and be brave even when you’re overworked or afraid of judgment.

Ultimately, an author should have good time management skills, solid knowledge of story elements, and sharp editing skills. In general, it can be understood that the following are the various skills required to become a well trained and skilled author. Written comprehension and expression is one aspect that deals thoroughly in alignment to becoming a skilled author. It also requires the person to be thorough with their oral comprehension and even oral expression.
