A Printer Technician is a technician who instals new printers, configures printers on a network, and maintains and assures the proper operation of standalone printers, scanners, and network printers. The Printer Technician is responsible for all basic and standard repairs, including ink cartridge changes. The Printer Technician must be able to copy, fax, and produce photos, as well as handle other printer-related difficulties. They will aid in resolving fundamental network problems as a professional, working in collaboration with information technology experts. They must keep themselves up to speed on new software and other equipment training activities. The Printer Technician must ensure that maintenance and servicing activities do not disrupt normal operations.
