Engineers must have the critical thinking ability to analyze and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Electrical design engineers must inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects, which calls for the problem solving skills. They should have the ability to communicate clearly through documents, recordings and transcriptions. They should be able to make right judgements regarding the quality and compliance with the laws, regulations, or standards. They must also have the willingness to learn and be up to date with the new knowledge and technologies. Good communication skills help them to work in teams and coordinate the activities and convey relevant information, progress and plan of action.
