Course Description

B.A Linguistics is a 3 year undergraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like General Linguistics, Syntax & Semantics, Old Persian, Phonetics, Indo-Aryan Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Phonology & Morphology, Old and Middle Indo-Aryan Linguistics, A synchronic study of the Language, Classification & Survey of Languages, Avestan Language teaching-lexicography sociolinguistics-Field linguistics, etc. The course takes a theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as a Linguist, Proofreader, Editor, Teacher, Dictionary Compiler, Lecturer, Speech Therapist, Speech Trainer, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
