Course Description

BSc in Botany is a 3 years undergraduate course dedicated in study of structure, metabolism and genetics and various other biological aspects of Plants. The important concepts in Botanical Sciences that are covered in this stream are Plant Resource Utilization, Algae and Microbiology, Plant Physiology, Cell Biology, Mycology & Phytopathology, Reproductive Biology of Angiosperms, Archegoniatae etc. Upon completion of the programme candidates can expect to get job roles as University professors, Ecologists, Botanist, Ecologist, Horticulturist, in various institutions of Government and Private sectors. Starting salaries can be expected to range between 4 to 10 Lakhs per annum. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with minimum percentage of 50% in PCMB. Average Fees for the course is somewhere between 20K to 2 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institution that avails this course.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
