Course Description

BSc Medical Laboratory Sciences is an undergraduate level course of 3 years. The course covers some important and popular topics like students perform various laboratory based diagnostic analysis on body fluids to test for ailments or diseases. The course covers some modules on Human Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Bio-Medical Waste Management, Pathology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Clinical Haematology, Serology, Parasitology & Virology etc. Upon completion of the course, candidates can expect to get placements as Laboratory Technicians, Medical Record Technician, Laboratory Manager in Diagnostic Centres, Clinics and Hospitals. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 4 to 8 Lakhs per annum. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete 10+2 in PCB with minimum 55% aggregate marks, followed by giving entrance exams like NEET UG exams. Fees in Colleges/Universities are somewhere between 20K to 2 Lakhs INR.

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
