Course Description
The primary focus of the study is understanding the basics and principles of Radiation & Radiotherapy. The radiation alters the DNA structure of the malignant cells restricting the growth of such harmful cells. Candidates discover the use of linear accelerator (LINAC), the machine commonly used to deliver external beam radiation treatments to cancer patients and shrink tumors. The study provides a better understanding of the process involving the deposition of energy in the targeted cells through ionising radiation causing destruction of the cells and ceasing their growth. This course also focuses on the concepts of imaging such as Radiographic Image, Fluoroscopy,Tomography, M.R.I and CT Scan.
