B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Engineering-- Distributed & Cloud Computing is a 4 years undergraduate Engineering course that provides detailed knowledge in both practical and theoretical approach in field of Electronics integrated with computer engineering. The Cloud Computing programme in addition to this course is a specialization programme focused on imparting students with advanced knowledge in computer system data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user but instead through external data centres. The additional subjects on the specialization programme consists of cloud computing, grid computing and clustering, types of clouds, cloud computing architecture, virtualization techniques, infrastructure as a service, software as a service, cloud management tools, securing cloud storage etc. Upon completion of the programme, candidates can expect to pursue career as Cloud Engineer, Java Developer, Cloud Computer Systems and Network Administrator, Cloud Product Manager. Starting salaries can be expected to range between 4 to 8 Lakhs per annum. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream in PCM and are expected to qualify entrance exams like JEE, BITSAT, VITEEE. Average Fees for the course is somewhere between 1 lakhs to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on type of the institution.
