Course Description

Bachelor of Technology in Information Security course is a remarkable course that gives the necessary background knowledge of computer concepts and the critical and prominent modules of Information Security. The course provides knowledge and skills required to secure and protect computer operating systems, networks and data from cyber-attacks and the possible risks and countermeasures to tackle those risks. The course puts emphasis on the study of digital forensics which is the identification, collection, analysis and reporting of any valuable digital information from digital media like a computer, mobile phone, server, or network that may potentially be evidence to be used in court. The course consists of the following subjects: Database Management, Information Architecture, Data Structures, Programming with C, Cloud computing and visualization, Network and information security, Cyber Forensics and so on.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Maths + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate OR 50% PCM aggregate.
