Course Description

Bachelor of Technology in Leather and Footwear is associated with a branch of technology that deals with the art and science of creating unique designs of leather clothing, adornments, gear footwear, etc. that are aesthetic to the eye. The course gives knowledge about the various technologies used as well as their applications. Candidates understand the comprehensive processes and principles applied in the manufacturing of leather from a plethora of raw materials such as jute, rubber, raw leather, plastic, canvas and so on. The course curriculum consists of concepts such as Engineering Physics, Technology Of Heavy Leather Manufacture, Instrumental Methods Of Analysis, Leather Machinery, Theory Of Skin Proteins And Pre-Tanning Processes, Total Quality Management, and so on.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Math + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate OR 50% PCM aggregate.
