Course Description
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering M.Tech Thermal Engineering is a 5 year integrated course. Mechanical engineering includes the application of laws of physics for Design, Analysis and Manufacturing of mechanical systems. Students enrolled to the course are taught about how to make and collect motors and structures, how to control plants and vehicles of all sizes, understand concepts as Mechanics, Kinematics, Fluid Mechanics, Energy and vitality. They gain skills like installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of machines. They also taught to use the center standards in the field to plan and inspect vehicle engines, watercraft, aircraft, warming and cooling frameworks, industrial equipment and machinery, robotics, medical devices, and such.Thermal engineering focuses on providing a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of Thermal Engineering including energy efficiency, renewable energy & environmental preservation, and their comparison with classical energy technologies and recent technologies. The primary objective of this course is to create professionals that have advanced, in-depth knowledge, necessary skill set and extensive training required to work in some of the major industries such as NTPC, Discoms,Steel India, Power Grid of India. Throughout the duration of this course, some of the core subjects that are covered are- Advanced Thermodynamics, Advanced Power Plant Engineering, Internal Combustion Engines, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning System Design, Heat Transfer, Thermal Modeling Analysis, Computer Programming and Data Structure, Computation Methods in CAD, Statistical method and algorithms, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Boundary Layer Theory, Fuels and Combustion, Gas Turbines and Compressors etc.
