Course Description
Diploma in Dairy Technology is a three years course which deals with the study of milk processing and its products. The course involves processing, packaging, distribution and transportation of various dairy products such as milk, butter, ice-cream and other food products by understanding and using biochemistry, bacteriology, and nutrition. Students gain training in milk processing, milk products quality control controlling and checking and dairy processing equipment from engineering aspect. The curriculum consists of topics for teaching as physical chemistry of milk, milk production management & dairy development, engineering drawing, fundamentals of microbiology, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, condensed & dried milk, computer programming and moral value & education. They will also be gaining practical skills from working in workshops and using the technical labs.
