Course Description

Diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying is designed to take part in is the creation of maps and plans for the mine. It also carries out risk assessments and environmental impact assessments on potential sites to assess the viability. The curriculum is based on modern, growing and frequently used techniques and methods used in fields by teaching subjects like mining technology, basic surveying, methods of mining, computer-aided design and drafting, development of life skill, land laws and mine legislation etc. the course will provide knowledge of mine environment and mine gases, make them aware of the causes and preventive measures of spontaneous heating, mine fires, coal dust and firedamp explosion and inundation, knowledge of mine ventilation and also some basic knowledge of mining activities + physics, chemistry and maths.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have qualified 10th / 10+2 any stream or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
