Course Description

MA in history is designed to communicate an understanding of historical incidences and development as well as to bring abilities of historical research and support the historic imagination. The course teaches students to inquire historically while using insights and interpretative methods of other regions, and it seeks to promote a spirit of decisive considering cutting-edge social questions.

Typical day at work

After completing BA it is acceptable for History students to go for a Masters degree in in the same course. This is necessary as they will get a better job or a better position at their workplace only if they complete their masters in this subject. If students want to pursue jobs in the fields like Archivists, Museum curators, Archaeology, they should complete their masters.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 50% marks at the graduation level. The maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 26 years. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
