Course Description

MA Religions is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Origin & Development of Religion, Vedic Religion, Jainism and Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity, Six Schools of Indian Philosophy, Islam and Sufism, Bhakti Tradition of Medieval India, Origin And Development of Sikh Religion, Exegetical Traditions of Guru Granth Sahib, etc. The course takes a theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Preacher, Department Chair, Assistant Professor, Project Coordinator, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
