Course Description

M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Tropical and Dry land fruit Production, Canopy Management of Fruit Crop, Propagation & Nursery Management for Fruit Crops, Advances in Growth Regulators of Fruit Crops, Breeding of Fruit Crops, Sub Tropical and temperate fruit production, etc. The course takes a practical and theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Category Manager - Fruit & Vegetable, horticulturist, Regional Manager - Sales and Distribution - Fruit Products, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
