Course Description

M.Sc. Dairy Technology is a 2-years duration course that covers production, processing, preservation, packaging, labelling, and quality management. Dairy based technology is an upcoming and a very trending technology. It has its roots in the past hundreds of years, however, this particular dairy based technology has been in India from past 50 years (approximately) providing the services of the dairy products. This entire process includes various steps and procedure including basic processing and managing (handling) the product. It also includes the monitoring, the storage, working on the aspects related to the removal of harmful toxins from the dairy material, and the transportation of the dairy for further procedure thereafter. The main objective (or the aim) of this course is to provide the thorough knowledge to the students about the basic science, technology and the practical application of the dairy products, handling it well including its related biological system. It also acts as a strong entrepreneurial program for a number of students and help them create a business cycle (and a strong business module) through the help of this course.
