Course Description

MSc Food Technology is a 2-year postgraduate program that deals with the technologies to produce, supply, preserve, process, package, and distribute food. It includes the study of processes and techniques concerned with collecting the raw material to reaching the final product to the consumer. The aim of the course is to cut back the quantity of food waste that has been seen in every step of food processing and distribution. The course conjointly focuses on manufacturing a high-quality product, maintaining the nutrition value of the food, increasing the shelf life of food, and availability of seasonal fruits and vegetables throughout the year. The course imparts knowledge and skills to contend with the technicalities and various problems with the food process technologies.

Eligibilty

Candidates should have BSc in Food Technology/ B.Sc in Food Science and Technology/ BSc in Dairy Technology/ B.Tech in Food Technology or any equivalent field like Life science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Home Science, etc.
