Course Description

M.Sc. (Hons.) Biochemistry is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Structure and Function of Biomolecules, Cell Biology & Physiology, Enzymology, Bioenergetics & Intermediary Metabolism, Molecular Biology, Nutritional and Clinical Biochemistry, Plant Biochemistry, Biophysical & Biochemical Techniques, Basic Biotechnology, Immunology, Introductory Microbiology, Biostatistics and Research documentation, etc. The course takes a theoretical and practical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Consultant - Clinical Biochemistry, Technician - Biochemistry, Reader - Physiology & Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technician, Business Specialist - Bioscience, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.
