Course Description

M.Sc. (Hons.) Bioinformatics is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Biomolecules, Object-Oriented Programming, Molecular Biophysics, Fundamental of Bioinformatics & Information Technology, Molecular Cell Biology, Applied Biostatistics, Biological Databases and Data Analysis, etc. The course takes a practical and theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Bioinformatics Analyst, Bioinformatics Trainer, Bioinformatics 'C' Programmer, Bio-statistician, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
