Course Description

M.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry is a 2 years postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Physical Method of Analysis and Structure Determination, Organo Transition Metal Chemistry, Organic Synthesis, Quantum Chemistry, Fundamental and Applications of Computer in Chemistry, Spectroscopic Methods of Structure Determination, etc. The course takes a practical and theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Scientist - Synthetic Lab (Computational Chemistry), Chemistry - Content Developer, Chemistry - Research Officer, Scientist - Soil Chemistry/Fertility/Microbiology, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
