Course Description

The course consists of both theoretical as well as practical sessions. In fact much importance is being given to practical sessions. Candidates learn about ship operations, Nautical Physics and Mathematics, Navigation techniques and how to avoid collision between ships. They also learn about Naval architecture and Voyage Planning. They should also have computer knowledge which will help them to understand the basic operation of ships.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. The candidate also requires to secure 50% marks in their English examination. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course. This course has some medical restrictions for height, eye sight and other health related factors.
