Fluid mechanics is applicable in many engineering branches such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, geophysics, astrophysics, and biology. There are two branches of the discipline: Fluid Statics – the study of fluids at rest, Fluid Dynamics – the study of fluids in motion.
