Course Description

Master of Technology in Geophysical Technology, a branch of Earth Sciences, deals with the application of physical measurement and mathematical models in order to explore the earth along with its surroundings. The course is tailored to allow the candidates a platform to build numerical and analytical skills, and theoretical knowledge in the field, develop application and interpretation skills for exploration, education and research. The curriculum comprises of concepts associated with earthquake studies for natural disaster mitigation, exploration of petroleum, mineral and groundwater resources and so on.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and a valid score in GATE. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
