Course Description

M.Tech in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering is a full-time 2-year course that focuses on irrigation, drainage engineering, hydrology and other related water management areas of study like watershed management, weather modification, water quality, groundwater and surface water. This program emphasizes and facilitates creation of new innovations and techniques for water and waste management, keeping up with the new developments and results of research, as well as case studies and practical applications of engineering. The main aim of this course is to impart fundamental and holistic knowledge of methods and techniques for avoiding water-borne and water-related diseases, weed control, effective control of waterlogging, etc.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B.E / B.TECH from a recognized university with Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams and/or require a valid GATE score for admission to this course.
