Course Description

M.Tech in Surface Science and Engineering is a full-time 2-year program that aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts of physical metallurgy, material science and electrochemistry and offers specialisation in Corrosion and Science of Surface Coating, Tribology, Mineral Beneficiation, and Petro-chemical technology. Throughout the duration of this course, some of the core areas of study that are covered are- surface and interfacial phenomena, corrosion and science of surface coating, the study of kinetics, corrosion in Chemical, Automotives, Fertilizer, petrochemical and process industries. This program aims to create professionals that have advanced, in-depth theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the field, necessary skillset, and extensive training required to work in some of the major industries of this field.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B.E / B.Tech from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams and/or require a valid GATE score for admission to this course.
