Course Description

M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering or Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a postgraduate Mechanical Engineering course. It is a two years specialisation program that deals with the study of mechanics, statics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis used in designing, development, construction, production, installation, operation and maintenance of tools, machines and various other mechanical equipment such as automobiles, trucks, airplanes, trains, space vehicles, lathes, milling machines, grinders, large steam and gas turbines, components of thermal power stations, internal combustion engines, jet engines, air conditioning and heating machines, refrigerators etc. In short, this degree course mainly focuses on the study of the application of the principles of mechanics and energy to the design of machines and devices. The M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) programs in India are usually structured as an Engineering Research degree and being offered on large scale by most of the engineering institutes.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B.E. / B.Tech Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
