Course Description

M. Tech in Polymer Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale. This program focuses on the technologies involved in the miniaturization of electronic and optical devices. The main emphasis is on current microtechnologies including the design and fabrication of microelectronic circuits, Microsystems, and optoelectronics. The program offers studies in basic materials and circuit theory, processing, functional devices, and characterization. The course also focuses on the design and creation of functional materials, structures, devices, and systems by directly controlling matter at the nano-level, as well as the exploitation of novel phenomena and properties occurring at this level. The degree is highly recommended to those students who wish to learn new ways to assemble atoms and molecules into new materials and to characterize them by a variety of techniques. This course is a good option for those who want to work in nanotechnology ventures, advanced materials, semiconductor and microelectronics businesses, advanced medical diagnostics, mineral processing, businesses involving chemicals, polymers, or surface coatings.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B. E./B. Tech./M.Sc in engineering or sciences discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and a valid score in GATE.
