Course Description

M. Tech in Energy and Power Engineering typically combines science and engineering theoretical lectures with practical lab courses. The courses have classes in topics like characteristics of energy resources, conversion of electric power, mechanical studies, distribution and storage systems, financial aspects, sustainable and renewable resources along with environment protection. Students in this degree will be studying the production, storage, distribution, and use of energy within natural or man-made energy systems. Power engineering is basically, the generation and transmission of electricity. This course is highly recommended to those students who want to work in designing and testing machinery, improving existing processes, developing strategies to deal with energy requirements, and offering consultancy for the reduction of energy consumption. Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed B. E./B. Tech./M.Sc in engineering or sciences discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and a valid score in GATE.
