M.Tech in Environmental Science and Technology is a Post graduate Engineering specialisation course of 2 years that is research oriented. The programme provides a detailed knowledge in the field of engineering solutions for the safety and solving challenges of Environmental issues. The curriculum comprises of core concepts like Operations and Processes in Environmental Technology, Modelling of Environmental Systems, Biological Wastewater Treatment, Air and Noise Pollution Control, Solid Waste Management, Environmental Impact Assessment etc. Candidates have a good scope to pursue career as Environmental Consultants, Environmental researcher, Environmental Manager for both Private and Governmental organizations. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete BE/BTech with 50% aggregate followed by qualifying the GATE exams. Fees in Universities are somewhere between 60k to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institutions.
