Course Description
The candidates are delivered with skills to explore, understand, and control how materials work using math, physics, and chemistry as tools. The course focuses on finding new ways to use products and may specialize in a specific material, such as plastics, ceramics or steel. The study helps in identifying what ingredients should be used to create a product and to figure out how to make that product with those particular ingredients. The study emphasizes understanding how the history of a material (processing) influences its structure, and thus the material's properties and performance. It introduces various structures and types of materials like nanostructure, microstructure, atomic structure, nanomaterials, biomaterials and computational material science.
