Course Description
MFA Painting teaches students about principles of design by completing a variety of drawing projects. They will develop a strong sense of design through decision-making and problem-solving projects that may include media such as, graphite, oil pastel, colored pencil, chalk pastel, and charcoal.
Students may learn how to developing painting skills and techniques using acrylic paints. They will explore the style of many artists throughout history while developing their own paintings. The major subjects considered and studied are landscapes, still-life, the figure, and abstraction.
MFA Painting course provides the opportunity to explore and work in and between disciplines included but not limited to:
