Course Description

PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science is a Doctoral level course of 3 years. The Course is a thesis programme that is dedicated to a research programme in algorithmic or programming processes in computational machines. The course covers extensive research in many concepts related to Computer Science like Linear Programming, Computational Techniques, Information and coding theory, Data structures and algorithms, Programming language theory, Artificial Intelligence, Concurrent, parallel and distributed systems, Databases and data mining etc. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get jobs like Statistician, Demographer, Cryptographer in various Tech firms and corporations. Candidates can also become University Professors in reputed Universities and Colleges. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 6 Lakhs to 10 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete post graduate in Computer Science related discipline with aggregate of 55%. Average Fees for the course is between 1 lakhs to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institution.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
