PhD in Bio Sciences and Technology is a Doctoral level thesis programme of 3 years which consists of four departments namely Biotechnology, Integrative Biology, Bio-Sciences, and Bio-Medical Sciences. The programme conducts current research in biology, as well as discussions and publications on education, public policy, history of biology, and theoretical issues in Biology. Candidates have the potential to pursue careers as Medical science liaison, Medical communications officer, Research and development scientist in various institutions of both private and government field. Candidates with this degree can also become Bio Science Professors in reputed Medical colleges. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 6 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs per annum. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete Masters in related Health or Biological Science discipline. Most Universities set their own criteria of minimum 55% to 60% marks. Students usually also need to qualify National entrance exams like UGC NET.
