Course Description

PhD in Chemical and Material Technology is a Doctoral level course of 3 years which is research-based programme in Chemical Technology which is the process of turning synthetic or chemical matter into useful products. Upon completion of the PhD course candidates can expect to get jobs as Chemical Engineer, Chemical Scientist, Service Engineer, Product development engineer etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 5 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete Masters in Engineering/MTech or MSc in a related programme with minimum aggregate of 55% followed by qualifying entrance tests like UGC NET Exam and giving college interviews. Average Fees for the course is less than 1 lakhs to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institution.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
