Course Description

Ph.D in Agricultural Extension is 3 to 5 years doctoral degree program.The course aims to provide students with a holistic understanding of the fundamental concepts of Agriculture and focuses on agricultural production and allied sectors and/or businesses. It consists of agro-chemicals, breeding, crop production, distribution, farm machinery, processing, seed supply, marketing, sales, export-import, finance management, supply chain management, taxation and trading. This program aims to create professionals that have advanced, in-depth theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the field, necessary skill set, and extensive training required to work in some of the major industries of this field. The course also consists of project work and generating thesis at the end of the program, the topic will be suggested by the faculty of the colleges.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in Agricultural Extension or in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
