Course Description
The PhD in cancer biology degree provides students with training in diverse areas of cancer biology research. The degree aims to provide graduate and medical students with the education and training they need to make significant contributions to the field of cancer biology. Graduates of this program will be prepared for positions in industry, government, and consulting, as well as faculty positions at the college, university, and medical/graduate school level. The program includes basic studies in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology and immunology, tumor progression, invasion and metastasis and also covers the areas of functional genetics, molecular biology of cancer, experimental therapeutics and cancer immunology, etc.
