Course Description
PG diploma in family health and HIV/AIDS counselling, literature and translation is a post-graduation diploma course of 1 year. The programme is aimed at letting students gain knowledge and skills in managing the challenges of HIV/AIDS disease and health organizations through the use of therapy and support.
The course covers contents relevant to Family health and AIDS counselling like Principles and Practice of Counselling, Family-centred counselling, Health counselling, Management of HIV/AIDS and HIV/AIDS Counselling.
Upon completion of the programme candidates can expect to get jobs as College lecturers, consultants, Psychotherapists, Health Social Workers in health care centres, NGOs and Government organisations dedicated to health services. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 3 to 4 Lakhs per annum depending on the organisation.
Eligibility criteria requires candidates graduate degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Fees in Universities are somewhere between 1 lakhs to 2 Lakhs INR depending on the institutions
