Course Description
PGD Fermentation Technology is a 1 year postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Biomolecules and Microbial Chemistry, Biocatalysis and Biotransformations, Microbiology of Industrial Fermentation, Principles of Fermentation technology, Downstream process and fermentation economics, Animal and plant cell bioprocess, etc. The course takes a practical and theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Senior Process Executive and Deputy General Manager, brewing engineer, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.
