How to become a Timber industry

Timber is an industry that falls in the primary sector, majorly focused on extracting and production of wood products. It is also known as the wood and lumber industry and covers the procurement of wood as raw material, and thus inculcates logging and forestry as well. On a secondary basis, it also provides materials for various secondary sectors- this includes pulp for the paper industry. In the past 2 decades, the demand for timber has tripled, while the supply has gone up to 48% in India itself. As a natural resource, there are many regulations regarding the ethical and sustainable harvesting of timber and wood- and that is what a person is expected to follow while working in the sector.
