B.A Drama is a 3 year undergraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like The basics of drama and theatre, Performance, mainly in the theatre, in terms of both its production and its reception, Critical apparatus to ‘read’ and appreciate the dramatic , Importance of dramatic arts in both aesthetic and non-aesthetic contexts, Performance theory and role-play, aesthetic and anthropological theories, Forms and Elements of Theatre, etc. The course takes a theoretical and practical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Professional Actor, Director, Playwright, Drama Teacher, Stage Manager, etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.
