Course Description

Special Education refers to the education and services provided by schools to individuals with disabilities that fall under the age of 3 to 21 years. Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] (Special Education) is a 2 years course that provides advanced skills and special training to teachers. The course is designed to teach the candidates on how to deal and train differently-abled or physically challenged people. The course covers both theoretical as well practical aspects of special education. The subjects covered in this course are Human growth and development, Sensory disabilities, Neurodevelopmental disabilities, Locomotive and multiple disabilities, Contemporary India and education, Teaching, learning and assessment, School subjects pedagogy (Mathematics, Science, Social science), School subjects pedagogy 2 (English, Hindi), Designing, adaptation and evaluation of Curriculum, Teaching Strategies and methods, Family issues and psychosocial, Disabilities and Technology, Visual and performing arts, etc.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
