The course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge on solar radiation, analysis of solar radiation data, fundamentals of the solar thermal and photovoltaic system along with storage of energy required for effective design of efficient solar energy conversion devices. The candidates get an exposure of the fundamentals of solar energy in various means.
Eligibilty
The candidate applying for the course must complete 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB. The candidates who have successfully completed a diploma in production technology can also apply for this course through lateral entry. Along with these requirements, they are required to appear for entrance examinations to get admitted into production technology course. (JEE or the college/university entry level exams)
