Course Description
In the course B.Sc. (Applied Phy. Sc.) Industrial Chemistry, students study critical historical events for industrial chemistry, key petrochemical unit operations, and basic outline of an oil refinery. This course helps to study simple and complex chemical reactions and how to apply these reactions to the typical reactions, including photochemical reactions and polymerization. In this course, students study the major topics include homogenous kinetics and catalysis, steady-state approximation, rate limiting processes, reaction kinetics, adsorption processes, catalysis of solid surfaces, manufacture of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts, a basic structure of crystal lattices, basic mechanics, viscoelasticity, and viscosity.
