Course Description
Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Quality is concerned with the study of the nature of food, changes the food goes through due to processing, packaging and handling. This branch of science is a perfectly balanced combination of microbiology, biochemistry and chemical engineering. This course incorporates a specialized study of all the different aspects of food, right from harvesting or slaughtering, gathering or butchering, and consumption by means of cooking and different ways of processing. The course also includes an extensive understanding of the latest technology and modern practices utilized in the food industry. This course puts an extra emphasis on an extensive understanding and analysis of the quality of food during its lifetime.
