Course Description
BSc Home Science – Nutrition, Food Service Management & Dietetics is an undergraduate level course of 3 years. The course deals with study in the field of Dietetics, Food safety management and Human Body’s biological or metabolic response to Food.
The course covers some important and popular topics like Microbiology, Food Science, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Family Meal Management, Food Service Management, Sports Nutrition etc
Upon completion of the course, candidates can expect to get placements in jobs such as Dieticians, Food Scientist, Nutrition Adviser, Nutritionist in Healthcare Centres, Nursing Homes, Clinics, Food and Beverage industries etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range from 4 to 10 Lakhs per annum depending on the type of organisation and job position.
Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete 10+2 in PCB with minimum 55% aggregate marks. Fees in Colleges/Universities are somewhere between 20K to 2 Lakhs INR.
