B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Engineering- VLSI is a 4 years undergraduate Engineering course. The curriculum integrates both Electronics engineering and Computer Science but the course is specialized in programme of ‘VLSI’. VLSI is abbreviation for “Very Large-Scale Integration” which is process of producing integrated circuits by combining millions of MOS transistors onto a single chip for applications such as signal processing and communications. Along with regular subjects of electronics and computer science, VLSI subjects includes CMOS VLSI Design, Digital System Design Using Verilog, CMOS RF Circuit Design etc. Upon completion of the programme candidates can expect to pursue career as VLSI developer, Software Engineer, Verification Engineer, AI researchers etc in large Tech companies like Siemens, IBM, L&T, Tata, Bosch etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range between 4 to 7 Lakhs per annum depending on company and job position.
