Course Description

B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Engineering- VLSI is a 4 years undergraduate Engineering course. The curriculum integrates both Electronics engineering and Computer Science but the course is specialized in programme of ‘VLSI’. VLSI is abbreviation for “Very Large-Scale Integration” which is process of producing integrated circuits by combining millions of MOS transistors onto a single chip for applications such as signal processing and communications. Along with regular subjects of electronics and computer science, VLSI subjects includes CMOS VLSI Design, Digital System Design Using Verilog, CMOS RF Circuit Design etc. Upon completion of the programme candidates can expect to pursue career as VLSI developer, Software Engineer, Verification Engineer, AI researchers etc in large Tech companies like Siemens, IBM, L&T, Tata, Bosch etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range between 4 to 7 Lakhs per annum depending on company and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream in PCM and are expected to qualify entrance exams like JEE, BITSAT, VITEEE. Average Fees for the course is somewhere between 1 lakhs to 3 Lakhs INR per annum depending on the institution.

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
