B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Engineering- Web Technologies is a 4 years undergraduate Engineering course. It is a relatively latest curriculum aimed at training keen candidates in study and Design of hardware like circuits, semiconductors, capacitors, diodes and embedded systems etc as well as development and operation of Software in Computer technologies. It integrates both Electronics engineering and Computer Science but the course is specialized in programme of ‘Web Technologies’ which refers to development of computer-based system by which computers communicate with each other using multimedia packages. It gives us a way to interact with Websites. Web technology involves the use of hypertext mark-up language HTML and cascading style sheets CSS Upon completion of the programme candidates can expect to get core job roles as Website developer, Software Engineer, Engineering Specialist, Project Engineer, Supervisor, AI researchers etc in large Tech companies like Siemens, IBM, L&T, Tata, Bosch etc. Starting salaries can be expected to range between 4 to 7 Lakhs per annum depending on company and job position. Eligibility criteria is Merit based and candidates are expected to complete 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream in PCM and are expected to qualify entrance exams like JEE, BITSAT, VITEEE.
