Course Description
B.Text Textile Chemistry is a full-time 2-year program that involves dye chemistry, polymer science, dyeing and finishing technology and fiber formation. This course focuses on the application of the fundamentals of chemistry on textile materials and structures and the use of such altered or modified products in the market. This course aims to provide a holistic understanding of the fundamental concepts, methods and processes involved in Textile Chemistry and their application. The primary objective of this course is to create professionals that have advanced, in-depth knowledge, necessary skill set, and extensive training required to work in various small and large scale industries and textile production plants. Throughout the duration of this course, some of the core areas of study that are covered are- Theory of Coloration of Textiles, Nanotechnology in Textiles, Application of Dyes, Production and Operations Management, New Fibers, Chemistry and Technology etc.
