Course Description

Psy. D. (Clinical Psychology) is a 4 Year doctoral programme with a practice-oriented approach. It is designed to impart extensive knowledge and equip the students with therapeutic skills and attitudes to make them competent clinical psychologists. Training is provided in areas such as Psychosocial Foundations of Behavior, Biological Foundations of Behavior, Psychopathology, Psychiatry, Psychological Assessment and Diagnosis, Psychotherapy and Counseling, Behavioral Medicine, Evidence Based Practice and Clinical Research Issues, Statistics and Research Methodology etc. Depending upon the specialisations, after completing the course one can pursue their career as Clinical Psychologist, Forensic Psychologist, Counselor, School Psychologist etc.

Eligibilty

The candidate should have Masters or M.Phil. degree in relevant stream from a recognized university with an aggregate of 55% marks and also with valid Ph.D. entrance test (e.g. GATE, NET etc) along with the interview.
